About the graphs

These graphs have been rendered using the Google Chart Tools.

The average number of events per week is shown in the graph. Where less than 200 events are seen, the graph supresses data since the results would be unreliable. Since some economies are not seen frequently, their graphs can be empty if all weekly sample sets are below the threshold. Data is still available in the appropriate CSV and JSON files.

These pages show the results of the APNIC Labs collection organized by Geographical divisions taken from UNData Each measurement has been mapped to the economycode of registration against the most specific encompassing IP address block, as noted by published RIR public data. These economycode summaries are then combined into the UN Region according to the list of economycodes provided in each case.

The 3 digit numeric codes are the ISO 3166 3 letter codes, augmented by the UN Data section with specific codes for each region. Some regions do not have codes assigned. Footnotes at the UNData web page also explain why some economies are removed from Geopolitical Regions.

During 2011, a notable IPv6 event was the ISOC World IPv6 day on 8 June. The graphs in this section therefore have a vertical line to show this date, so that trends can be considered against this event.
